About this Event
Rollin' for Reproductive Justice
Gather your krewe and get your tickets for an unforgettable night of skating, costumes, and music benefitting Women with a Vision!
We've faced so many challenges over the last few years—the end of Roe, attacks on our very right to exist as queer folks, attempts to rewrite the history of this nation—and yet, we've continued fighting. Rollin' for Reproductive Justice is a celebration of our indomitable spirit and our willingness to keep on fighting for our communities. We're centering Black joy, queer liberation, bodily autonomy, and celebration Wednesday, October 30 from 6-9 p.m. at the Airline Skate Center.
Whether you're a pro skater or a beginner, everyone (18+) is welcome! Skate rentals available. So grab your friends, put on your favorite outfit, and let's roll together for reproductive justice!
Physical tickets to be issued at the door for entry. No entry without a physical ticket.
About Women with a Vision
Women with a Vision, Inc. (WWAV) was founded in 1989 by a collective of Black women in response to the devastating impact of HIV/AIDS in Black communities. Today, WWAV continues to provide grassroots-level support and advocacy at the intersections of gender, racial, and reproductive justice. Widely regarded as the leading national voice fighting the criminalization of Black women and girls in the South, WWAV programs touch on human rights, sex workers’ rights, reproductive justice, voting rights, and ending mass incarceration.
We envision a world where Black women and girls are free to achieve their wildest dreams. We envision a world where they live free from the fear of interpersonal and state violence. In the future of our dreams, Black women and girls are no longer subjected to the violence of poverty and everyone, regardless of the body they inhabit, enjoys the dignity of bodily autonomy and liberation.
