High Altitude Roller Derby is looking for new members! No skating experience? No problem! When you attend our 2-day Fresh Meat Boot Camp, we will teach you the basics of roller skating. Our Mistresses will teach you how to skate forwards and backwards, how stop, fall, and transition.We are rolling out two days of skating to get you comfortable on eight wheels. Potential Fresh Meat are highly encouraged to attend both sessions.

Boot Camp is FREE and is open to anyone who is 18 years old or older. Individuals need to bring a mouthguard and photo ID. We highly recommend bringing a water bottle, snacks, and clothing to work out in. Loaner gear is available, but skaters are encouraged to bring their own gear if they have it (helmet, wrist guards, elbow pads, knee pads, and skates).
Oh My Quad! Skate Shop will be onsite on Sunday for individuals who may be interested in purchasing their own skates and gear! Reach out to them on Facebook if you are interested in a specific product or size.
After passing the weekend boot camp, fresh meat skaters will be enrolled in our 12 week program to learn specific skate skills and beginner roller derby techniques. More details about the full program will be explained during both Boot Camp sessions.
Want to join HARD but skating isn't for you?
We would still love for you to attend to meet the community and figure out where you can support our league. We are always looking for non-skating officials, announcers, and coaches.
