About this Event
Please note you do not need an Eventbrite ticket to come to this event, you can just show up. We hope you can make it!
Come support your local Vancouver roller derby team, as they smash into other humans on roller skates! This time we’re playing TWO teams in two games. (You can see details of which teams on our website: https://tcrd.ca/come-watch/).
Doors open at 12:30pm, with the first whistle at 12:45pm. Snacks, drinks, and merch are available to purchase, and there will be door prizes and a raffle. Entry is by donation, which is always optional - and no one is ever turned away for lack of funds. Our league is entirely volunteer run, so any proceeds help us continue to play, train, and host games!
We recommend bringing a camping chair if you have one, RCCC has some chairs available but quantities are limited. And if you’d like a trackside view of the action (best seats in the house!) please bring a pillow or yoga mat to sit on, as no chairs are allowed in this section for safety reasons. The upstairs bar at RCCC will also be open for this event, so you can grab a drink and watch from there too!
Terminal City Roller Derby works hard to make sure all of our events are safe, fun, inclusive and family friendly. We love having families attend our events, and we do have measures in place to ensure safety; including specific viewing distances for those under 18.
You can expect an event full of hard hits and bold athleticism, with a good dose of laughter and entertainment. Each game will last for about 90 minutes including halftime and timeouts.
As a volunteer organization, we are always looking for folks to play, officiate, or otherwise helpout. We also love to partner with community organizations for door prizes, or for any other reason. Please contact us if you’re interested in volunteering, partnering with us, or sponsoring our team!
*Please note there is currently construction at RCCC, so the parking lot is closed. We recommend leaving yourself a little extra time to find street parking.
