The PLACE is preparing to relocate our Drop-In Center to the former shelter space, a move that will allow us to better serve youth with the support and resources they need. Before we can open the doors, the building needs a serious refresh.
That’s where you come in. We’re gathering volunteers to scrub, haul, organize, and get the space ready for its next chapter. It’s tough, hands-on work, but it’s also deeply meaningful—every sweep, scrub, and lift helps create a safe and welcoming environment where young people can find stability and hope.
What to Know:
* Wear closed-toed shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
* Bring work gloves if you have them.
* Bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated.
* This work is not appropriate for minors under 12 years old.
* All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
