In a Zen sesshin (“to settle the mind”), we enter that space, sitting quietly together for long stretches of time, allowing it to settle into our bones and bodies. It’s simple and often challenging. It can become a sort of adventure in discovering ourselves. It’s also a way of giving our support to the universe, including all the human activities and difficulties, while accepting the way it gives life to all of us.Join Rev. Daiken Nelson Roshi, a respected Zen Teacher from New York City, together with Rev. Joseph Boyd of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Youngstown (UUYO), for a transformative day-long meditation retreat. This special event will also feature a collaborative partnership with Rev. Umi Dan Rotnem Sesei from Open Door Zen in Columbiana.
Please bring something to share for breakfast and/or lunch and RSVP if you plan to attend for any length of time by emailing: [email protected]
There is no set fee, and all programming and travel expenses for Roshi Daiken are supported by your donations.
Thank you for giving generously.
