On December 10th Scarborough Jazz Club welcomes back larger than life saxophonist/flautist Rod Mason to warm us up on a cold December night.If you’re a Club regular you’ll know that he’s a soulful, high octane saxophonist (influences include Michael Brecker, Kenny Garrett and Jan Garbarek) who has played with just about everyone (e.g. Don Weller, Art Themen, Guy Barker, Jim Mullen, Mark Nightingale, etc.). If you’re not, you’re in for an exciting discovery, backed by our four piece house band with added percussion.
In the New Jazz Generation spot slot is the exciting St Jude and the Hopeless Causes, a guitar-led trio playing originals and the music of songwriter Nick Drake.
Music begins 8.00. Minimum donation £5. Students and under 18s half price.
