This Rocks'n Yoga brings you the best of Nepal:
ACTIVE (think trekking, canyoning, paragliding)
RELAXATION (think hammock – yoga – massage).
As a cherry on top, this trip a unique cultural immersion, filled with so many beautiful colours and sights you’ll simply not know where to lay your eyes.
Lets go!
DAY 1
Today we catch an afternoon flight to Kathmandu, and post immigration clearance at Tribhuvan International Airport, we check-in to our hotel for the night.
DAY 2
Today we rise early ahead of a two-hour drive to our rafting start point in Charaudi, which is 82kms from Kathmandu. Post a safety briefing by our river guide, we begin the rafting adventure with first doses of adrenaline coming from sections with varying rapid classes i.e. upset or surprise.
We continue a drive to Pokhara aka the Lake City, about 200km from Kathmandu. To get to what has been dubbed by some as one of the most beautiful places on earth, takes about a six-hour drive along windy roads on the banks of the Trishuli River. And when we arrive to Pokhara and check-in to our hotel we’ll enjoy a boating excursion on lake Phewa to take in stunning views of Fish Tail Peak.
DAY 3
Rise and shine for some pre-breakfast yoga and meditation at the hotel! And once we’ve loaded up, we head out to Lwang Ghalel for a canyoning adventure where scrambling, climbing, jumping and abseiling are the order of the day.
DAY 4
Start the day with one hour yoga and meditation, drive to Sarangkot for Paragliding.
Paragliding in Pokhara not only gets you airborne, but allows you to fly like a bird and chances are that you will actually fly along with different types of birds including vultures, eagles and kites, if you’re lucky. In case getting sky high is not really your thing, then there’s always a ziplining option – one of the world’s steepest and fastest in fact.
After Breakfast, we drive to Phedi for 45 minutes and walking through sparse villages, farm terraces and short stretch of woods we reach to the Dhampus hill after few hours of walk. Here we get up close and personal with a view of a long stretch of the Annapurna range. Then, we spend the rest of the day immersing ourselves in the local culture, topped off with a once in a lifetime sunset view over the Himalayas.
DAY 5
Rising early again today we head back to Kathmandu after breakfast, where we will have some free time in Thamel, the city’s main bazaar and nightlife area, finishing our day with a traditional Nepali dinner.
DAY 6
Today is a full cultural immersion into the very best of what Kathmandu has to offer, including UNESCO World Heritage sites such as the Boudha Stupa, an important holy site for Buddhists and the largest Stupa in Nepal. From there we’ll move to the Pashupatinath Temple located on the banks of the Bagmati River to catch a glimpse of a traditional Buddhist cremation. And our last stop will be monkey temple, located atop a hill overlooking the whole city, before we wave goodbye to Kathmandu and head back to the airport for our flight home. Bye bye Nepal!
