About this Event
Join our team and go in search of fascinating local marine life in the rockpools at South Landing, Flamborough. We’ll take you on a guided tour and explore the rocky shore as we search for brittlestars, seek out crabs and pursue sea slugs.
Please note, children must be supervised by an adult throughout the event.
Embrace your wild side - what to expect:
The beach is accessed via a 5-minute walk down a road. The event will involve walking over uneven ground on the rocky shore and on slippery surfaces.
What's at the Living Seas Centre?
The Living Seas Events Centre is an education centre near South Landing, Flamborough. There's plenty to explore in the area, from rockpooling at South Landing, to discovering the amazing 'seabird city' at Flamborough Cliffs nature reserve further around the headland.
What to bring/wear
This event takes place outside so brace yourself for the Yorkshire weather! Please ensure to wear suitable footwear and to bring waterproof clothing. We will be walking through rockpools so waterproof shoes are required - wellies would be best. We also recommend lots of layers.
Toilets and catering
There are toilets at the Living Seas Events Centre and a neighbouring café open Wednesday to Sunday 10am to 3pm.
