Author and artist, Mel Brown, was raised in a family that others perceived as a "white" middle-class privileged household, complete with all the associated comforts. However, Mel's reality was far from this facade.
Mel faced the trials that arose from revealing the closely guarded secret of her Aboriginal heritage. Later in life, she utilized these experiences to shed light on the painful truths of the stolen generations and stolen identities, concealed by Australia from the rest of the world.
Melinda Brown, an Australian Aboriginal Ngunnawal woman, shares her compelling story, unveiling the hidden struggles that persist in Australia's history of stolen generations and identity.
