Throw Pros is BACK! While running official, sanctioned tournaments had its benefits, we have decided to go back to what made our tournaments thrive in the first place- a focus on FUN, competition, and community.
While future events are yet to be determined, we are happy to announce our FIRST tournament will be at Axe House Cleveland (home of your favorite judge and axe maker) Jan. 24-26.
Rather than run events true to any specific ruleset or organization, each tournament is going to mix things up (if you’ve got ideas of what you’d want to see, sound off!)
For event 1:
Hatchet and knife will use a new, square style target with a unique tennis-like match system (making no game ever truly out of reach).
Duals and Big Axe will run on a 2025 WATL hatchet target with modified gameplay. Each game will be 7 throws, with mandatory kills on 6 and 7 (HOWEVER- kills will be worth 1/2 points for the outer/inner kills as a comeback mechanic)
Space is limited, and priority registration will first open to those committing to all disciplines.
Individual discipline tickets (if any remain) will go on sale starting January 1st!
What can you expect from throw pros events?
-Deeper payout percentages, rewarding more than just the top few throwers.
-A smooth tournament experience run by those with the most experience in the field.
-A chance to throw with and learn from some of the best in the sport
-A fun, community event with opponent scoring, experimental formats, and a break from the ordinary.
