Dig out your blue suede shoes and get ready to rock around the clock during the Signature Spotlight concert, "Rockin’ to the ‘50s," Thursday, November 14 at 7 p.m. at the Racine Theatre Guild.The music of the 1950s is ready to wop bop a loo bop a wop bam boo! A time of innovation, of cultural shifts, and of music that would define generations to come, swing into the nostalgia from the energetic beats of rockabilly to the soulful rhythms of doo-wop. Get ready to groove and twist your way back in time as every note, every chord, and every beat resonates with the spirit of the 50’s. Great hits include “The Tennessee Waltz,” “Johnny B. Goode,” “Fever,” and “Beyond the Sea.”
The Signature Spotlight Concert Series are musical revue concerts featuring musicians and singers from throughout the Racine area. With varying themes and song styles, each performance has something for everyone.
"Rockin’ to the ‘50s" is sponsored in memory of Thomas M. Lewis. Tickets are $20 for adults and $18 for seniors (62+), and $15 students (21 & under) can be purchased from RTG.
