Join Shawna for a playful and upbeat Ashtanga-based class. Rocket is a semi-set sequence that includes unique variations, while providing a sense of consistency.

This is an energetic class designed to provide you with whatever level of challenge you are looking for. The Rocket sequence is full of forward folds, back bending, spinal twisting, hip openers and core strengthening that break through common areas of tension, habitual patterns and energy blockages to combat stagnancy and resistance in the body. In this class, you will build the foundation for getting upside down and developing hand balances and arm balances, but inversions are not required.

Shawna Krueger is a bilingual certified yoga instructor specializing in Progressive Ashtanga and Rocket, the host of the top 5% Spotify Video Podcast, Leadership and Yoga.

As the host of the Leadership and Yoga podcast, Shawna’s work revolves around the quest for more yoga in leadership, and better leadership in yoga. With a background working for law firms in the Seattle area, she now uses that experience to bridge the gap between the yoga lifestyle and leadership principles in both English and Spanish.

Shawna holds a BA in International Studies Political Economy and has completed two 200-Hour Teacher Trainings: Ashtanga Yoga Puerto Rico and Siddhi Yoga International. She is also trained in Rocket yoga and has completed a certificate program in guided meditation and Applied Polyvagal Theory in Yoga. Her own personal practice started in 2012 as a family activity before morphing into a passion she now takes pride in sharing with others.

She seeks to help students see the complexities of yoga as inspiring rather than intimidating. It is her belief that yoga is a ritual that can bring us immense joy, and that we can find contentment in the practice itself, beyond anything that we expect it to do for us. Her teaching philosophy is, “I will tell you where to look, but not what to see.”
