One of the most important battlegrounds of the Cold War was the Space Race where the United States and the Soviet Union competed to see which nation would be first to master space travel. But exploring space presented a lot of challenges – including developing nutritious and tasty foods that astronauts could eat in microgravity.

The Pritzker Military Museum & Library invites you to join us on Saturday August 13th from 11-12:30pm while we explore the history of astronaut food from the Space Race to the present day. Together we will learn about the evolution of astronaut food sample some space snacks and build and launch gravity-defying paper rockets.
