What do you get when you combine an award-winning flautist and a veteran producer multi-instrumentalist and organ player for the Calgary Flames? Ginger Beef: a Juno-nominated husband-and-wife team playing groovy instrumentals and catchy tunes.
Brother Bicker Band | 5th Street Square | 1:30 – 2:13pm 2:45 – 3:30pm
The Brother Bicker Band brings their self-described Maple Whiskey Rock ‘n Roll to life with their high-energy country rock. Nominated at the Country Music Alberta and YYC Music Awards and fresh off a string of sold-out shows and festival stages this seven-piece Calgary crew’s rich rootsy sound keeps crowds dancing.
Backyard Betties | Celebration Square | 2 – 2:45pm 3:15 – 4pm
The Backyard Betties bring rich three-part harmonies and heartfelt storytelling to the folk/Americana scene. With witty banter raw emotion and a distinctive vocal blend this Calgary-based trio relate with their audiences to communicate something truly beautiful.
