Scouts will spend the night locked inside Rock Spot indoor climbing gym. Participants will have two options: scout/free climb for $35 or Climbing merit badge for $70.The Scout climb includes staff guides for 1.5 hours and scouts are welcome to continue climbing after the hour and a half without staff assistance. Anyone over 12 will be able to clip themselves into and out of the auto-belay systems, and staff can show our adult leaders how to clip in younger participants.
The Merit Badge course takes around 4 hours and is $70 per participant. They don't teach requirements R-1 or R-2, but do go over them. All Merit Badge Participants need to be turning 13 by the end of the calendar year in order to participate.
