The First Ever Comedy Show Featuring Musical Guests (What's an SNL? We've Never Heard of It)
About this Event

Hosts Lynn Maleh and Kari Assad invite standup comics from around town and TV (heard of it?) to perform alongside live musicians for a laugh-out-loud jam-fest that'll have your sides splitting and toes tapping.

Featuring

Morgan Jay (Comedy Central, MTV, NBC)

Aparna Nancherla (Comedy Central, Netflix, HBO)

James Adomian (Comedy Bang! Bang!, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson)

Danny Sellers (Callbacks Podcast, 4K Comedy)

Rachel Abrams (Laugh After Dark)

with musical accompaniment by Emmy-nominated Marc Solomon

Lynn Maleh

Called "up-and-coming" by the LA Times, Lynn Maleh is a Syrian-American writer and standup comedian whose last name means salty, which she is. She's written for Act Your Age on Bounce TV, The Onion, Reductress, and McSweeney’s and has performed on Don't Tell Comedy, Hot Tub with Kurt and Kristen, The Second City Diversity Festival, The Westside Comedy Festival, and a few times in Brad Pitt's old backyard. She co-created and co-produces Hilarious Habibis, the first ever Middle Eastern-only standup showcase at The Hollywood Improv. IG: @heylynnmolly

Kari Assad

Kari Assad has a unique biting look on society. Having lived all over the United States and being the simple mix of Mexican, Lebanese, French and German- she has a crap ton to talk about! She's been seen on "Put Your Hands Together” with Cameron Esposito and River Butcher at UCB Franklin and opened for Bill Posley’s Off Broadway One Man Show: “The Day I Became Black”. She was a Finalist at the M.I. Westside's Showdown in Santa Monica, played the 10,000 Laughs Festival in Minneapolis, MN, 208 Comedy Festival in Boise, Idaho, Limestone Comedy Festival in Bloomington, Indiana, and hosted shows for WhoHaha in Los Angeles. She also performed her themed show “Kari Assad’s Quinceanera” at the Comedy Central Stage and the Ice House. IG: @assadkarirocks
