Electric Promotions & Cancer Research UK Relay for life presents Rock Against Cancer.40th Anniversary of Focus Rock Nights!
We're absolutely over the moon in headlining this fantastic night to raise money for a charity that is very close to our hearts as we have personally lost loved ones to this horrible disease.

Hi, my name is Del Singh and in 1981 I was a part of Electric Promotions the team behind the Spectra Soundsystem Rock Roadshow, East of England's top rock and heavy metal mobile disco. Not catered for by nightclubs, the Spectra Soundsystem gave Peterborough's rock music aficionados and biker communities events to meet at and indulge their love of music of the heavier variety. Anyone who ever attended one of Electric Promotions rock nights at The Focus Centre in Dogsthorpe, Peterborough back in the 1980's won't forget in a hurry some legendary rock events courtesy of the Spectra Soundsystem and the many heavy metal bands that played live with us.
In 2021, 40 years on and I'm reviving that heavy rock live music and metal disco for one night only in aid of Cancer Research UK (CRUK), in support of Peterborough's first CRUK Relay for Life. Sadly the COVID-19 pandemic has left a £44M hole in cancer research funding, and even after we've seen off Coronavirus, cancer will still be hurting and taking our loved ones from us way too soon. Over the last 40 years I'm not the only one who has lost family and friends to cancer, including some of those who came to our rock nights all those years ago. So please support this "Rock Against Cancer" event knowing that 100% of funds raised from your ticket money, food sales, etc will be going directly to CRUK to help beat cancer sooner.
To make this an extra special 40th anniversary rock revival night, there will be a live performance from "Let There B/DC" the best AC/DC tribute band you are likely to see and hear anywhere and anytime soon. For those about to rock on the highway to hell these guys are a whole lotta DC! Having seen the real AC/DC live a few times these guys are definitely the most authentic AC/DC tribute band I've seen and heard. But don't take my word for it, check out videos on their website.
All of this will be happening at the spiritual home of those legendary rock nights, The Focus Centre, Dogsthorpe, Peterborough. The Focus Centre has kindly donated the venue completely free and without charge to support our fundraising for CRUK, for which we are very grateful. I myself will once again get behind the decks Spectra Soundsystem style some four decades on to play those rock and heavy metal bangers from back in the day and a few newer ones too."
