The Park Theater Foundation is pleased to partner with Rochmon Record Club to present a series of listening parties. On May 22nd, the Rochmon Record Club will focus on Tom Petty’s 3rd album “Damn The Torpedoes" (1979). ?
------
Tom Petty was PO’d. In an industry where artists get serially taken advantage of, we rarely hear about an artist getting control BEFORE they get ripped off. Tom Petty did, and “Damn The Torpedoes” was his declaration of war. Tom Petty, with the Heartbreakers at his side, take his power back with “Refugee”, “Here Comes My Girl” “Even The Losers”, “Don’t Do Me Like That” and 5 more, As is his way, Rochmon will have a few surprises in store!
Hosted by Chuck Vosganian, a Rochmon Record Club Listening Party is a multi-media event designed to educate and inspire. Audiences will learn about the history of the performers, and dive deep into the songs and stories that informed these iconic albums.
A Rochmon Record Club Listening Party is the perfect opportunity to relive the classics! In the words of Chuck Vosganian, “By listening together, we hear the music again for the first time.”
