On Thursday May16, Rochmon Record Club will converge at The Linda, WAMC’s Performing Arts Studio 339 Central Ave., Albany, to listen to, and learn about Tom Petty’s 3rd album “Damn The Torpedoes”. Tickets available at thelinda.org
Tom Petty was pissed. In an industry where artists get serially taken advantage of, we rarely hear about an artist getting control BEFORE they get ripped off. Tom Petty did, and “Damn The Torpedoes” was his declaration of war. Tom Petty, with the Heartbreakers at his side, take his power back with “Refugee”, “Here Comes My Girl” “Even The Losers”, “Don’t Do Me Like That” and 5 more, As is his way, Rochmon will have a few surprises in store!
Rochmon Record Club Listening Parties begin at 7 pm with a live audio & video presentation by Chuck Vosganian aka “Rochmon”. A Rochmon Record Club Listening Party is meant to inform and deepen our understanding of the history of the individual performers, the songs, and the stories that went into the making of this iconic album.
