On Thursday September 18, Rochmon Record Club will converge at Lark Hall, 351 Hudson Ave, Albany to listen to and learn about The Band’s eponymous second album “The Band” also known as “The Brown Album”. Doors open at 6:30, the show begins at 7 pm with a live audio & video presentation by Chuck Vosganian aka “Rochmon”.Considered an Americana concept album, “The Band” picks up where their debut, “Music From Big Pink”, left off and explores the characters and history of America through music. Songs include “Up On Cripple Creek”, “Rag Mama Rag”, “Rockin’ Chair”, “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down”, “King Harvest (Has Surely Come)” and seven more. As always Rochmon will have some surprises in store! By listening together, we hear the music again for the first time. Rochmon Record Club takes place on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at Caffe’ Lena in Saratoga Springs (caffelena.org), and the 3rd Thursday at Lark Hall (larkhallalbany.com) in Albany.
