On Thursday, November 20, Rochmon Record Club will converge at Lark Hall, 351 Hudson Ave, Albany to listen toand learn about learn about Pink Floyd’s 9th studio album, “Wish You Were Here”. Doors open at 6:30, the show begins at 7 pm with a live audio & video presentation by Chuck Vosganian aka “Rochmon”.Pink Floyd’s 1975 follow up to “The Dark Side Of TheMoon”, “Wish You Were Here”, is Roger Water’s lyrical diatribe about the music business and the loss of his friend and bandmate Syd Barrett. On it’s release reviewers didn’t get it, but all these years later everyone caught up to Rochmon’s opinion and consider “Wish You Were Here” one of the greatest albums of all time. Built around “Shine on You Crazy Diamond”, (the 9-song tribute to founder Syd Barrett) “Have A Cigar”, “Wish You Were Here” and “Welcome To The Machine”, we’ll listen to the album “Wish You Were Here” on vinyl and Lark Hall’s state of the art sound system!A Rochmon Record Club Listening Party is meant to inform and deepen our understanding of the history of the individual performers, songs and the stories that went into the making of this classic album. By listening together, we hear the music again for the first time. Rochmon Record Club takes place on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at Caffe’ Lena in Saratoga Springs (caffelena.org), and the 3rd Thursday at Lark Hall (larkhallalbany.com) in Albany.
