Join us to march to call for stronger action on climate change and ending abuse of fossil fuels!We will gather at 4:00 PM on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Washington Square Park and start marching at 4:30. We will march to several locations in downtown Rochester and then return to Washington Square Park, where we will have an organizational fair until 7:00. Our goal is to build local engagement on this global issue: to mobilize local residents to engage in climate action that local organizations are taking.
This event is a collaboration between the Sunrise Movement, Rochester Youth Climate Leaders, Students for a Democratic Society at University of Rochester, Extinction Rebellion Rochester, Third Act Upstate NY, Rochester Area Interfaith Climate Action, Climate Reality Finger Lakes, Citizens' Climate Lobby Rochester, the Climate Solutions Accelerator of the Genesee-Finger Lakes Region, and other climate-concerned organizations and individuals.
