Our mission is to enhance the quality of life in our neighborhoods by addressing key issues and improving the community's appearance and safety.This month, let's make a difference together for Cavalier Manor! Portsmouth ROC The Block, Tidewater Community College, and Rivers Casino are teaming up to take on the Great American Cleanup – the nation’s largest community improvement program!
You're invited to join community representatives and fellow volunteers at the Cavalier Manor Rec Center parking lot on March 28th to kick off the event. Together, we’ll walk the area picking up trash and identifying concerns that need to be addressed.
Items on our task list include:
⛈️ ??????????: Inspect & clean storm water drains to ensure proper drainage, and eliminate standing water.
? ?????? ?????: Inspect street signs for visibility, remove branches or other obstructions, and repair any damages.
?️ ????????: Repair potholes in the streets to improve driving conditions.
? ????????????: Report broken streetlights to Dominion Energy for prompt repair.
⚠️ ???? ????????: Inspect both city & private properties to ensure they comply with local codes, and address any violations.
?️ ?????: Remove bulk trash piles and litter from the streets.
Can’t join us for the community walk? No problem. Keep an eye out for representatives on your street and pop outside to share your concerns or report issues. Together, we can create healthier, safer and more vibrant neighborhoods for everyone!
