ROBOTICS BOOTCAMP
Is your child a builder, a dreamer, a problem-solver in the making? Ignite their passion for technology and innovation at the Robotics Bootcamp hosted by, a FREE one-day deep dive into the creative world of robotics!
This hands-on workshop is designed specifically for students in Grades 5 to 9, offering a perfect blend of fun and learning. Participants will go from Concept to Creation as participants learn the fundamentals of firmware coding & electronics, the languages that bring robots to life! Participants will work with their very own robotic arm, using their new coding and electronics skills to program its movements, from simple gestures to completing complex challenges.
Best of all? The learning doesn't stop when the workshop ends. Every participant gets to take their robot home, allowing them to continue exploring, experimenting, and innovating.

Why Learn Robotics?
Through this workshop, students will:
- Develop Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving Skills: Robotics requires students to think logically, troubleshoot errors, and find creative solutions to challenges.

- A "Take-Home" Robot: Every participant will keep their own robot.

What You'll Need to Bring.
- A Laptop with USB ports: PC, Mac, or Linux with a usb A/C port to connect to the robot.
- Laptop Charger: To ensure laptop doesnt die during the course.
Prior Knowledge Required.
Participants should have basic computer literacy skills including:
- Typing: They'll need to write lines of code, so typing text is important.
- Using mouse or trackpad: Left/right clicking, dragging, and selecting text.
- Managing files and folders: Know how to create, save, and find files.
- Navigating operating systems: Find & open apps and switching between windows.
IMPORTANT: Please Install Software Before the Event.
To make sure we can dive right into the fun, please download and install the free Arduino IDE software on your laptop before arriving at the workshop.

Supervision Provided.
Event will be professionally supervised by both senior Innovate Canmore staff as well as parents from the local community.
