Murray City Cultural Arts will be holding a Mr. Robinson Carols Sing-Along, December 16, 2024..
Join us at the Murray Senior Recreation Center, to sing Mr. Robinson’s Christmas Carols, along with other Christmas favorites!
.
A long-standing tradition in the Murray City School District, was music instruction by William F. Robinson. Mr. Robinson was made the music supervisor of the MCSD in 1907. During the early years of his teaching career, he would walk from one end of the district to another, making rounds to each of the schools. He was known as “Murray’s Music Man” and the “Father of Christmas Caroling” in the Murray Community.
.
Dawn Korzen will lead us once again, along with pianist, Kim Jewkes (also a relative to W. F. Robinson). We also have the special treat of the violinists, The Heartfelt Strings, performing along with the songs. The Heartfelt Strings is comprised of Dawn, Leslie Bowman, and David Brewer.
