Robin Guiver is a Puppeteer, Creature performer and Actor, originally from the UK. Hehas worked extensively in film and TV, especially with Neil Scanlan’s creature team, andis best known for his role puppeteering the droid D-0 in Star Wars: The Rise ofSkywalker. Additional recognisable creatures from the Star Wars universe include: TheHappobore (Head Puppeteer) and Thalasiren (the giver of blue milk in Episode VIII, headpuppeteer). Other recent projects include puppeteering the iconic ghost, Slimer inGhostbusters: Frozen Empire (Robin was the only UK puppeteer on the team), alsoleading the SFX puppetry on the film, too. He was a key puppeteer on Jurassic WorldFallen Kingdom, working on Blue as a baby raptor, full grown Blue, the T-rex and theIndoraptor, all for Neil Scanlan’s team.
As an actor Robin appeared in Doctor Who season 12, episode 4 – The Nicolia Tesselaepisode - playing villain Bill Tallow. He is also known for the viral Jonny Walkercommercial Dear Brother.
Robin has also worked extensively with visual FX teams, as the Lead puppeteer on bothWarner Bros live action Tom and Jerry, and Disney’s live action The Little Mermaid(puppeteering Flounder throughout the shoot). He was also the Supervising creaturepuppeteer on Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and the sequel The Crimesof Grindlewald, puppeteering interactive creature elements for Ni]lers, Bowtruckles,Thunderbirds and all manner of other creatures!
