Whether you have been painting for two years or ten, whether you paint landscapes, still life or wildlife, you can become the painter you aspire to be. The goal of this workshop is to shift our thinking, identify our obstacles and open the door to producing the work that we see in our minds eye. We will begin with unlocking the fundamentals of value, color, composition and symmetry, that is designed to help you understand and approach them in a way that both simplifies and benefits you in you growth as an artist. “Critique” is an essential part of personal growth. We learn by hearing the response others have to our work and by putting into words our evaluation of our fellow artists work. In what will be a safe and encouraging environment of this workshop, critique will be an important learning tool. In addition to class work we will critique examples of work we have previously completed.Bring an open mind and a desire to learn. I will bring my years of experience and love of sharing what I have learned over those years. Together we will chart a course to your personal growth that will lead you to yes.A full list of materials and examples will be available by February of 2025 and after you have registered. This is an oil painting workshop. Alkyds and water soluble oil colors are welcome.
