: https://www.robertgastelum.com/About: Robert Gastelum, also known as Robbie G, plays soulful Jazz-styled trumpet. He is a skilled trumpet player studying in music college, completing a music degree from the Berklee College in Boston, MA and currently finishing a masters degree in music Southern Utah University in music.Robert brings a handpicked band of musicians who bring the styles and skills of Jazz improvisation and rhythms such as Cumbia, Salsa, and Reggae. Not only does Robert play traditional swing Jazz music, but he is experimenting with mixing rhythming and styles to his compositions. This November 25th performance, Robert will not only be performing with his trumpet, but using a keyboard to direct and lead the band to perform his compositions.
Featuring Saturday the 25th are:
Timbales - Adrian Areas (who is the son of founding member of the Santana Band, musician and composer, Jose Chepito Areas-Timbalero and Conguero. Adrian has performed with Tito Puente, Carlos Patato Valdez ,Jerry Gonzalez, Santana, Journey, The Doobie Bros, The Steve Miller Band, Joe Satriani, Arturo Sandoval and the Mingus Amungus Big Band to name a few).
Congas - Frankie Aguilar (from the cumbia band Combo Tezeta).
Bass - Abraham Aguilar (also from the cumbia band Combo Tezeta).
Piano - Diego Mosquera (by way of Chicago Illinois and Colombia).
