About ROBBIE FULKS:
“To say that Robbie Fulks has been one of the best singer-songwriters in American roots music over the last quarter-century would be correct, and maybe a little reductive, too; he’s one of the best writers in America, period.” —VARIETY

Robbie Fulks has always been more than a conventional singer and songwriter. Over the past three decades, his instrumental virtuosity and powerful songwriting have gained him recognition as a pioneer of today’s Americana movement. Along with his still-evolving solo body of work, Fulks’s adventurous career has seen collaborations with illustrious names like Lucinda Williams, bluegrass pioneers Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Alison Brown, and Sierra Hull, singer Kelly Willis, NRBQ’s Al Anderson, steel guitarist Lloyd Green, rockabilly legend Linda Gail Lewis, and punk rock revolutionaries The Mekons, while fellow artists such as Sam Bush, Andrew Bird, John Cowan, The Old 97’s, and Hiss Golden Messenger have covered his songs. Fulks has performed on stages around the world, from the Grand Ole Opry to the All Tomorrow’s Parties festival in the UK.

His TV appearances include Late Night with Conan O’Brien and Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where he joined with Alison Brown and Tim O’Brien to back the great Steve Martin. Shortly after, he took the spotlight to sing during Steve’s set at Los Angeles’s famed Hollywood Bowl as part of Rhiannon Giddens’ “American Tunes,” an all-star celebration of American roots music.

, his latest album released Sept. 5, is the follow-up to his 2023 critically lauded Compass Records debut, .

About MICHAEL CERVERIS and KIMBERLY KAYE:

Loose Cattle's latest album is on Single Lock Records. The band is led in tandem by Michael Cerveris and Kimberly Kaye - a onetime couple, enduring friends, and lifelong working artists. Loose Cattle are inheritors of the progressive politics and compassionate humanity of folk and country truth-tellers past and present, some of whom have become friends: both Lucinda Williams and Patterson Hood guest on Someone’s Monster. The album ably takes on these weird American times with tenderness, rigor, empathy, and guitars. The 2024 release has been a hit with critics and audiences alike, spawning four singles receiving radio play across the country, and finishing the year at 85 on the Americana Album Chart Top 200, and 10th in No Depression’s Year End Readers’ Poll Top 25 for 2024.

Kaye is a classically trained trumpet player and jazz vocalist. She took a mid-90s ride on the ska trend, playing stops like Vans Warped Tour with punk-ska groups New Direxion and The Youth Ahead with a bad blonde dye job. She graduated from the acclaimed Monmouth Country FPAC performing arts training program and Wagner College's award-winning musical theatre program, which—as formal arts education usually does—succeeded in giving her crippling stage fright. In 2011, longtime collaborators Cerveris and Paul Sanchez told her to get over herself and start sangin' again. So she did.

In addition to her work with Loose Cattle she sings with hard rock group The Knife Confession and The Coven, a New Orleans-based, women-fronted supergroup.

A lapsed son of the South, Cerveris was raised in West Virginia, and divides his time these days between a NYC apartment and his home in New Orleans. He first picked up a guitar at age 11 and figured out how to play it along the way. He happily misspent years playing and singing with the likes of Bob Mould, Pete Townshend, Frank Black, Teenage Fanclub, The Breeders, Ken Stringfellow, Anders Parker, Laura Cantrell and many others on stages ranging from CBGBs, Sin E, Mercury Lounge, Bowery Ballroom, and Irving Plaza to Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, New Orleans Jazz Fest, Preservation Hall, and Carnegie Hall.

His day job as an actor landed him on Broadway 11 times working with everyone from Pete Townshend, T-Bone Burnett, Elton John and Jake Shears of Scissor Sisters to Stephen Sondheim, Andrew Lloyd Webber and John Cameron Mitchell (and resulting in a Grammy and two Tony awards), in films with Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, James Gandolfini, and John C Reilly (sadly not all in the same film), and on the TV series Mindhunter, Fringe, The Gilded Age, The Plot Against America, Gotham, The Tick, Mosaic, The Good Wife, and HBO’s Tremé. After years spent living and working in the north, an extended sojourn below the Mason Dixon brought Cerveris back to his country roots.

And finding his creative co-conspirator in Kimberly Kaye planted a seed that, neglected and curiously fertilized as it has sometimes been, blossoms like a rare Appalachian flower when they step up to the mic together.
