The Fairhaven Group and The Fort Pub & Grill presents Robbie Burns Day in Fort Langley at Fort Pub & Grill.
To celebrate the birth of the greatest poet from Scotland, joins us for Scotish food, whiskey flights, stories, a fiddler, traditional music and dancing on January 23th, 2025.
"January 25 marks the birthday of , a Scottish poet born in 1759 in Alloway, Scotland. His descriptions of country life and the satires he wrote — which took politicians and religious leaders to task — made him an enduring popular figure. As a child, his family struggled. His father was a tenant farmer on less-than-successful farms and as Robbie Burns grew, he also laboured on the farms. Burns published his first book of poetry in 1786. He died in 1796."

Through song & verse penned by the bard himself, Bruce Coughlan reveals much about this legendary man, his humility, humanity, passion, compassion, humour & insight.

Bruce has been performing Scots music for decades, he’s toured Scotland on more than a dozen occasions, immersing and engaging with the Celtic Music Culture, and sharing his original ballads about great Scots in Western Canadian History.

Doors open at 7:00pm and concert starts at 9:00pm.
