Set in turn-of-the-19th-century Chicago, The Case of the Mising Maid follows Harriet Morrow, a bike-riding, trousers-wearing lesbian, who has just begun her new position as the first female detective at the Windy City's Prescott Agency. Only an hour into her job, Harriet lands a case that could make or break her burgeoning career, pushing her to navigate a labyrinth of eccentric characters and murky motives in order to find a missing maid.
