English concertina virtuoso and multi-instrumentalist Rob Harbron http://robertharbron.com/ is known for his work with Leveret, Emily Portman, Jon Boden, Fay Hield and many others. Described by The Guardian as a ‘concertina wizard’, he has developed a unique approach to the English concertina and is known as an inspiring and sympathetic teacher.
Rob's workshop will explore tunes & technique with the aim of helping attendees to consolidate their own personal style of playing. He will cover technique that will help players get the most from their instrument, including teaching some little-known tunes & some of the stylistic elements that can make those tunes work, as well as exploring chords & harmony. The workshop is focused on the English system but open to players of all systems.
