Are you ready to level up your sensory skills? Join Mehmet Sogan, 2024 & 2025 U.S. Cup Tasters Champion, as he goes through tips and tricks of cupping champions. This workshop is designed for coffee roasters and how to recognize highlight aging characteristics, phenolic defects, and quakers, and learn how to identify these issues clearly and consistently at the cupping table.
Mehmet will guide participants through essential cupping methods and practices:

- Anchoring
- Scooping
- Passing
- Spitting
This interactive session gives attendees the opportunity to apply each technique during live cupping sets, using real samples to compare coffees and isolate flavors in real time. Taking place on the final day of the U.S. Coffee Roasters Championship, the workshop offers a focused, hands-on way to deepen sensory skills while the competition concludes.
