It's a holiday event for all of Roane County and the surrounding area! Hosted annually on Roane State's flagship campus in Harriman, the Lighting of the Tree features the official tree lighting ceremony with musical performances, selfies with Santa, sleigh rides, ice skating, reindeer games, candy, prizes, hot cocoa, and cider.The 2025 Lighting of the Tree will be held November 17 on the lawn near the flagpole in the faculty/staff parking area. The event starts at 6pm ET with a welcome and countdown to the tree lighting at approximately 6:15pm ET. School music programs begin at 6:30pm with all other activities wrapping up at approximately 8pm ET.
