The Moshannon Creek Watershed Association participates in the Adopt-A-Highway program. We have two sections of highway we maintain. We have a stretch of PA 53 that begins at CMP Energy south of Philipsburg and extends to the outskirts of Osceola Mills. We also have a stretch of PA 970 from Osceola Mills to about halfway to Sandy Ridge. The PA 53 stretch gets a lot more litter than the stretch of 970 we maintain. We will meet at CMP Energy at 2719 Walton Street (PA 53) south of Philipsburg at 9:00 am on Saturday October 4th and work until lunch time. Bring water and a snack, wear clothes appropriate for the weather and shoes that work well on uneven ground. MCWA will have gloves, orange vests, and trash bags.
