๐ฃ๐จ๐ซ๐๐ฌ ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ซ๐ค, we will hike alpine meadows to get to the Exit Glacier's base and the continue viewing spectacular glaciers, snow-capped mountains and emeraldโgreen forests in ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ข๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ซ๐ค, a more rarely visited National park. This stretch requires inclusion of a boat ride to the village of Gustavus, AK, and an "internal" flight between Juneau, AK and Anchorage, AK.A ferry (by a state-owned company and most affordable one) goes from Juneau to Gustavus two days a week only and its schedule hardly allows time to explore Glacier Bay National Park, Gustavus and return to Juneau on the same day. So we will stay in Gustavus for two nights. The plan is to explore the area by ground. If a participant wants to take some commercial boat tour/cruise that's offered in Gustavus to see more of the glacier from water - that should be up to the participant (but needs to be coordinated with the organizer and fit the group's plans.)
We start at ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐๐๐ฎ, a 30k-resident city, the capital of Alaska that stands on one the largest wilderness areas and has a number of hiking trails around, with glacier views, waterfall and streams. The city itself is no doubt worth sightseeing. But to get to Glacier Bay National Park by ground we need to go further, to Gustavus, AK, a small 650 resident community, and that is possible by a small plane or ferry only.

โข consider hydration bladder for hikes,
โข day backpack,

โข for personal protection: mask, carry-on sanitizer, gloves (by your choice.)

What is included:
โข 7days/6nights stay in 2-people occupancy non-smoking room (two beds in room),
โข Breakfasts at some hotels,
โข Transportation by minivan (like Chrysler Pacifica, Dodge Grand or similar) covering approx. 600 mi of road-tripping total,
โข Park entrance fees,
โข Organized hikes in all days.
What is NOT included:
โข Getting to Juneau, AK and returning from Anchorage, AK,(flights to Seattle and on),
โข Meals, snacks, water,
โข flight ANC-JUN, 1 hours long, $182 appox.

Sunrise: 3:15am. Sunset: 12:30am (polar summer!) Every day we want to start off from the hotel at 7 am or 7:30am, or 8am as the latest. It's midnight sun - so please tune in yourself to being disciplined during the trip and balance your activity-rest time to avoid insomnia.

ATTN. There will be a Zoom meeting on this trip and a ๐๐ก๐๐ญ๐ฌ๐๐ฉ๐ฉ ๐ ๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฉ ๐๐ก๐๐ญ will be formed for the group to communicate and prepare for the trip. HOW to RESERVE a SPOT in the GROUP:
You should be able to see an Eventbrite payment link. The $10 payment through Eventbrite is for reserving your spot in this small group(and it counts in toward the whole payment for the trip.) After you reserved a spot, you will be contacted by the organizer about a Zoom meeting with the group and joining a WhatsApp group chat. Meeting your future group-mates in a Zoom and being able to communicate by WhatsApp are mandatory steps to become a part of this trip and make the full payment.
If any of these cannot be done/mind changed, the $10 reservation payment will be refunded in full though the initial means of payment, minus fees paid to Eventbrite/any third parties.
The outline of the trip will be communicated during a Zoom meeting and in WhatsApp group chat. The detailed, hour-by-hour, itinerary will be provided to the confirmed participants of the trip.
