About this Event
This program meets the VicRoads/DoT, Transport for New South Wales, Queensland Department Transport of Main Roads and the South Australian Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) course requirements for registration as a Road Safety Auditor.
This course is delivered in person over two days, commencing Thursday 2nd May to Friday 3rd May 2024.
This course is relevant to individuals who wish to become a Road Safety Auditor or those required to manage the Road Safety Audit process and its outcomes. Covering the 2022 Austroads Guide to Road Safety Part 6 current accredited Road Safety Auditors that wish to undertake a refresher course may also attend. Upon successful completion of this training, participants will be eligible to register as a Road Safety Auditor in Victoria on the VicRoads Road Safety Auditor Management System www.vrsa.com.au, in Queensland by completing the TMR registration formNew South Wales by visiting www.roadsafetyregister.com.au. TRAINER - Thuan Nguyen
Thuan is a Civil Engineer and accredited Senior Road Safety Auditor with 20 years of experience in Road Safety, Traffic Engineering and Road Maintenance. Working for Local Government, Thuan developed Local Area Traffic Management Plans and designed supporting treatments. For VicRoads, Thuan developed road safety and traffic policies, updated Austroads and Australian Standards, and reviewed and authorised traffic management for construction projects and major events. He is currently Chair of the Australian Standards committee for Traffic Control Devices and lecturer at Swinburne Univerisity.
