Håvard Aufles’ Personal Belongings
A collective of free improvising musicians from different parts of Europe gather around Norway-based Håvard Aufles’ eclectic and simple ideas. Three solid voices with a common appreciation for spontaneity interprets pianist Håvards ideas which consists of singable and personal melodies as a fundament, with respect to composers such as Nick Drake or Paul Simon, put in a modern electronic sound palette in an acoustic context. Long form development over simple minimalistic ideas, with a strong rhythmical backbone. Personal, open and daring music happening in a moment!

Michaela Turcerová & Thys.lum
Thys.lum is led by Slovak saxophone player and composer Michaela Turcerová within her ongoing explorations of the zone between creative composition and liberated improvisation. The lower spectrum ensemble with two double basses, two baritone saxophones and drums contemplates between self-determination and magnitude of a collective, scotopic intuition and non-human mechanics. Thys.lum’s instrumentation is calling for an absence of visible light and its universe is centred around hues and color saturations.

Transhumanță
Transhumanță (Romanian, transhumance in English) is a type of pastoralism or nomadism, a seasonal movement of livestock between fixed summer and winter pastures. While herders typically have a permanent home, they tend to spend long periods of time travelling with their animals, facing harsh conditions in their search for greener fields.
Inspired by an ancient Romanian folk ballad, ‘The Little Lamb’, the performance seeks to take you on a journey to mysterious, far-off places, guided by a need to reconnect with nature and the music of our ancestors. Coming from different musical backgrounds and traditions, the three musicians meet in a fantastical world where acoustic instruments merge with electronic elements to tell a story of the past, the future and the beyond.
