About Our Panelists

Cal Hurst, President at Southern First

Cal has worked in banking throughout South Carolina for over 16 years, helping clients grow their businesses and plan for their future. He is passionate about creating long-term relationships and positively impacting everyone he connects with. In addition to his work, Cal is an engaged member of the Upstate community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Greenville Chamber, United Way of Greenville County, and Greenville First Steps. Cal is also the Public Address Announcer for Furman Basketball and a member of First Presbyterian Church, where he serves as a Deacon and in the Ignite Worship Band. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and economics from Furman University. Cal is a proud husband to Casey and father of two children, Chandler and Mary Ellen.


Michelle Seaver, President, Greenville, Spartanburg, and Cherokee Counties at United Community Bank

Michelle directs the bank’s strategic growth in Greenville, Spartanburg, and Cherokee counties. She is credited with spearheading United’s entrance into South Carolina as she was responsible for opening its first S.C. branch. Years later, she once again led growth efforts for United when it acquired Palmetto Bank by integrating all the branch locations and laying the foundation for the bank in the Upstate. Prior to joining United in 2013, Michelle served as TD Bank’s regional wealth leader for the Carolinas. Prior to this role, she led the private banking business for The South Financial Group, including its two subsidiary banks – Carolina First Bank and Mercantile Bank. Collectively, she has three decades of banking experience. Michelle is a longtime resident of Greenville and has consistently been active in the community. Currently, she serves on the Board for Prisma Health, Artisphere, Greenville Chamber, SC Jobs and Economic Development Authority, Greenville Tech Foundation, and the University of South Carolina Alumni Association. Michelle received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business. She is married to David and has two daughters, Kaitlyn and Caroline.


David Lominack, South Carolina Market President at TD Bank

As Commercial Market President of South Carolina for TD Bank, David is responsible for commercial banking throughout the state. David joined the former Carolina First Bank in May 1997 as a management associate. Upon completion of the management associate program, he served in a number of roles including branch manager, commercial loan officer, private banking, and regional retail banking executive. From 2006-2010, he served as Market President for the Midlands Region of South Carolina. Carolina First was acquired by TD Bank in 2010, and David returned home to take on the role of Market President for the newly formed Upstate-Midlands Region. He was appointed Market President of South Carolina in 2015. David earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Presbyterian College. He is also a graduate of the Stonier National Graduate School of Banking; Leadership Greenville; the Diversity Leadership Initiative at Furman University; and is a Liberty Fellow. A stalwart community supporter, David currently serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for United Way of Greenville County as well as the Board of Directors for the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and Greenville Chamber of Commerce. David and his wife, Courtney, reside in Greenville and have three children: Henry, James and Lynne.

Joy Marshall, VP, Director of Corporate Communications & PR, United Community Bank

Joy is a seasoned communications leader with nearly two decades of experience in broadcast journalism and a strong track record in corporate communications, public relations, and executive visibility. As Director of Corporate Communications & PR at United Community, she leads strategic initiatives that shape brand reputation, amplify leadership voices, and drive meaningful engagement across both digital and traditional platforms. Before transitioning into corporate communications, Joy spent almost 20 years as a television news anchor, reporter, and executive producer in markets across the country, including Greater Philadelphia, Iowa, Louisiana, and Georgia. Joy has served on several nonprofit boards, including the YWCA and Every Ribbon Counts Cancer Foundation. She lives in Greenville, South Carolina, with her husband and their two young sons.
