About Grow. . .

Discover 15 plants and fungi with life-changing powers and learn how to grow them at home. Meet their surprising relatives (the tasty tomato is a cousin of deadly nightshade!) and unearth their interesting stories (lettuce was the first plant to be grown in space!). Then follow step-by-step instructions to grow and care for each one, whether you have a big backyard garden or a sunny windowsill.

Riz Reyes is a Filipino-American horticulturist based in Seattle, WA. An early curiosity about fruits and flowers in his native Philippines developed into award-winning garden/floral displays and recognition in the Pacific Northwest gardening scene at an early age. Riz Reyes immersed himself in the remarkable diversity of plants that thrived in the maritime region and finds every opportunity to seek out and work with the most uncommon selections in the trade and generously shares his knowledge and experience with others. He the owner of RHR Horticulture and is currently the assistant director Heronswood Garden in Kingston, WA.
