- Introduction to cake decorating fundamentals: Participants will learn about the tools required for the workshop, including piping bags, spatulas, offset spatulas, and decorating tips.
- Piping Techniques: Hands-on demonstration of various piping techniques, including how to create different shapes, borders, and patterns using different decorating tips.
Participants will practice piping techniques to get comfortable with handling the piping bag and controlling the flow of frosting. - Cake Preparation: Step-by-step demonstration of how to prepare a cake for decorating, including leveling, torting (cutting into layers), filling, and crumb coating.
Participants will have the opportunity to follow along with their own cakes. - Frosting and Decorating: Demonstration of how to apply frosting to the cake smoothly and evenly using an offset spatula.Participants will learn how to create texture and designs on the cake's surface using various frosting techniques.
