Transport & Address:
We will be working in and along the banks of the River Wye. We will meet at the Chiltern Rangers depot at 9.30am to get our waders on!
The depot address is Kingsmead Depot, 60 Fennels Road, High Wycombe, HP11 1SL. Unfortunately there isn't any free parking on Fennels Road, the car park costs 60p per hour or £2.10 for 4 hours - card or Ringo.
The car park across Kingsmead Recreation Ground, accessed from Kingsmead Road, is free parking and you can walk across to join us from there. Postcode HP11 1JQ.
Please can we ask everyone to arrive on time to ensure you do not miss the health & safety and task briefing. If you are late and the session has already started, you may not be able to join. Thank you.

The Task:
Come and join our rangers and help us to clean and restore the River Wye. We will be cutting back vegetation and clearing the litter as we go. We will also be working out of the river along the banks.
Timings (please note these timings are approximate):
09.30 : Arrival at Kingmead Depot for waders
10.00: Safety briefing, plus task and site introduction - work begins!
11.30: Tea & coffee break
12:30: Work finishes, time to go home.
What to Bring:
Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task - long trousers are advisable as there is thorny vegetation. Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of fluids!
W e will supply waders.
We will bring a tea kit and biscuits.
Volunteering and COVID:
Please do not attend sessions if you have tested positive for COVID or if you have COVID symptoms e.g. a new continuous cough, a high temperature, a loss of, or change in your normal sense of taste or smell.
