River Swim PracticeSwimRun Edmonton will host a free to join river swim. We will meet at the art sculpture by the parking lot in Terwillegar Park. Recommended equipment includes a wetsuit, swim cap, goggles, and a pair of shoes that you don't mind getting wet. Swim buoys are also encouraged. We will swim downriver, around the perimeter of the park, with a short walk to and from entry and exit points. Total swimming time will be 30-40 minutes. Included will be a short talk about river swimming safety. Anyone interested is welcome, but should be able to confidently pool swim at least 100 meters without stopping, and be able to tread water for at least one minute. Please respect social distancing, and do not attend if you are sick.
