Michelle Ortega’s latest chapbook, When you Ask Me,”Why Paris” (Finishing Line Press) was released in July 2025. Her writing has been published or is forthcoming at Tweetspeak Poetry, Tiferet Journal, Platform Review, Shot Glass Journal, Paterson Literary Review, Rust + Moth, Humana Obscura, Stillwater Review, Citron Review, right hand pointing, and elsewhere online and in print.
She currently serves on the Board of Directors and is a teaching artist for Arts by the People, a non-profit organization promoting the arts through free community programs for diverse populations. Michelle is published in its collaborative journal Look Up!, facilitates the Writing Lab Ekphrastic Residency Program with Director Paul Rabinowitz, and edits the journal each year. Alise Versella is an International Impact Book Awards Winner and Storytrade Book Awards Finalist. She has been nominated for a Pushcart and Best of the Net.
