This is a full-day workshop and pilgrimage to the River Ouse and Itford Hill, where we will perform an Andean Offering and cleansing.
CONNECTION - VISION - HEART
A warm invitation to join us in a circle and a pilgrimage to the River Ouse and Itford Hill as we celebrate the time of Beltane in the peaceful surroundings of the Sussex National Park.
18th May: 10 am - 4.30 pm, starting at Barn Croft, Rodmell
The Andeans are constantly sowing their “Kawsay” the living energy, asking Mother Earth to give them her strength in return.
In the center of this belief lies the ability to raise life in its different forms. And so Andeans also create their relationship with everything around them, visible or “invisible”.
Vilma Pinedo, Curandera shares:
“ Our Ruru, our spiritual Seed, is in constant transformation. The moment it touches the water of the lakes, it is caressed by the wind of the high mountains, or it dances around a fire built by the community, it is invited to change ”
Here we will continue the work done the day before, opening the space and invoking the ancestors with an Andean offering.
-Created and held with the greatest of love and care by Doña Vilma Pineda, Francisco Victoria, and Ali Rabjohns, this will be an immersive and beautiful day:
-We will learn ancestral techniques and perform rituals to strengthen our Roots and our Spiritual Seed
-Vilma will share her story and the value of her lineage that she has inherited from her grandparents.
-Learn about Ruru, and more concepts and stories related to the Inner Seed and the spiritual beliefs of the Andes.
-You will participate in an Andean offering ceremony.
-Practice Kallpanchay techniques to strengthen your energy root.
In the traditions of the Andes mountains, each one of us is seen as the holder of a special Seed. The word in Quechua is “Ruru”, the seed that will eventually become a fruit. This spiritual seed is nurtured through every relationship we create with the elements, the sacred spirits, and the people around us.
The Andeans know a lot about grains, having adapted through millennia seeds that were once wild into highly nutritious products we enjoy today worldwide, such as potatoes, tomatoes, peanuts, and quinoa.
We understand the importance of ceremony as a powerful act of self and planetary care. Ceremony brings people and communities together, provides spiritual nourishment, and deepens our connection to the earth and the wheel of the year as it turns. This helps us to stay strong in turbulent times and empowers us to move with more joy and grace through the changing seasons of our lives.
By the end of this experience, you will have had plenty of time in a safely held space to prepare for the summer days ahead, exploring a delicious self-connection in your own life.
“ People from the west come to the ancestral traditions with a calling from their souls. Many of them feel like they don’t belong or are always searching for something they can’t seem to find. And so we walk nature and ask the spirits to bring strength to them, for we can see that their inner seeds sometimes lack connection to the earth, and they become like big trees without their roots...
We ask for balance and clarity in their path, and through ritual, we connect the seeds to the sacred spaces and portals that have been conceived for these purposes. For only this way, exchanging energy in Ayni, reciprocity, we will open its full potential ”
Wilma Pineda

About us:
Vilma Pinedo was born surrounded by the Apus, powerful mountain spirits from Cusco, Peru. Her initiation into the path of the healer arrived before she was even born.
When her mother was pregnant with her, she was struck by lightning that almost killed them both. In the Andes this is a strong sign of being called by the spirits, that’s why from a young age the eyes of the community were set on her to learn the “curandera” way.
Vilma grew up among her grandfathers and grandmothers, who through the day-to-day work and sharing, taught her the traditional healing rituals. Since she was 12, she helped them, reading the energy in the coca leaves, gathering the natural elements for the healings and offerings, and using her intuition to advise the patients.
She comes from a lineage of renowned healers in Cusco, and by studying at the university, Vilma did something new to past generations, allowing her to learn different languages, and access and understand more of the Western and modern mindset.
Francisco Victoria has a major in International Affairs. He has studied and practiced the spiritual and energetic traditions of several communities and lineages from the Andes for almost a decade. He founded Nunawana, an organization that focuses on the transmission of this wisdom and has organised retreats, pilgrimages in South America, North America and Europe, online courses, and training workshops. He travels with Vilma supporting the work of her lineage and bringing the knowledge he has integrated.
