Similar to last year, we will be at two locations (Fabyan Park and Island Park at the Spillway). If you are interested in being in the water and walking the edge to gather garbage, please go to the Fabyan Park location. Your team leader will be Kelvin Limbrick, so please check in with Kelvin when you arrive. He will have garbage bags, snacks, water, and a cleaning station. Please dress accordingly if you would like to be in the water. We will have one canoe at Fabyan to help move items but if you have a canoe and don’t mind getting it a bit muddy, please bring it to Fabyan. There are also plenty of places to walk trails at this location, so if you would like to walk the bike trail, please do so.
For those of you that would like to stay dry, please come to Island Park. Jay Womack will be your team leader. He will have a couple wagons, garbage bags, snacks, water, and a cleaning station as well. We will split up into groups and go in all directions to pick up garbage. If you have a wagon, please bring it as well, we can always use a couple extras to move garbage. But there is also a place to get muddy on Island Park, which is the backside of the spillway, so please show up here if you want to get a little muddy.
