PRESS RELEASE:
A truly international and unique line up of dark experimental, electronic, mash up dance, Witch house, Gothic and Cold Wave music that goes far beyond and defies all the usual genre labels! Let’s stop the pigeon holing and just say it’s time to embrace the darkness!
RITUALZ is the dark electronics project of JC Lobo from Mexico City. Once part of the first wave of witch house acts, the one man band has since branched out to explore and mix other styles like darkwave, industrial, noise and dark ambient, crafting a style of his own. Releases include the witch house classics CDR (Disaro) and Ghetto Ass Witch, reissued on vinyl by Re:Mission Entertainment on their 10th anniversary, the debut album Doom and its follow up EP Satanico Supremo on Artoffact Records, Häxan, a live score performance to the 1920s silent film, RADICAL MACABRO, the sophomore album that earned a spot on I Die:You Die’s best albums of 2022 list, and the lastest release HYPERMOTION X 2.0, a re-recording of the 2012 EP originally released on Mishka, now issued on cassette by Dagger Forest in London, UK on December 1st, 2023.
METHOD CELL who have just released an epic new album. Founded in early 2008, UK based industrial synthcore unit Method Cell quickly gained a reputation as one of the most exciting, innovative electronic acts to emerge out of the UK underground scene. Combining high energy harmonics and acerbic lyrics with searing bass and beats, Method Cell prove there’s more to a club hit than swearing by numbers, and industrial doesn’t have to mean monotone. After enough time crafting their long anticipated follow up album, they have made a triumphant return in 2023 with their second album “Last One Standing”, bringing their wit, wisdom and acerbic humour to life’s trials and tragedies.
THE SPIRITUAL BAT Bio:
From the ashes of Spiritual Bats (plural) founded in 1992, which in turn was spawned by visual arts group I Pittori Alchimisti (Alchemist Painters, est.1976), The Spiritual Bat fluctuates somewhere between old-school goth and postpunk, darkwave and psychedelic deathrock, with their own, unique blend of sounds, with Rosetta’s witchy vocals and Dario’s mighty, distorted guitars, The Spiritual Bat boasts participation in several prestigious events and festivals in Europe and the USA. Based in Italy, the band has performed at Wave Gotik Treffen, Whitby Goth Weekend, Return To The Batcave, Gotham Sounds, Castle Party, Carpe Noctum, and have toured the USA from coast to coast several times, performing at events such as The Red Party in New York, Release The Bats in Los Angeles, San La Muerte in San Antonio TX, Vendetta Festival in Denver, Sogo Festival in New Orleans, besides innumerable other shows. The Spiritual Bat is an evolution of the “Spiritual BatS” (plural), a previous incarnation of which guitarist and former painter Dario was co-founder in 1992, shortly before going blind. The project has always featured artwork by the pictorial group I Pittori Alchimisti (Biennial of Venice, 1986 Art and Alchemy section), both on album covers and in video projections during live performances. In 1994 the Spiritual Bats opened for Rozz Williams (Christian Death) and his Daucus Karota. They are beyond excited to be playing for the UK audiences on their first ever UK tour in the land that invented gothic music!
