About this Event
The 2025 TeMaTe Institute Convening for Dance and Culture with "Ritual: Rhythms of Life and Legacy," is inspired by African traditions and ancestral wisdom, this immersive performance celebrates the sacred relationship between movement, ritual, and the environment.
Through dance, music, and storytelling, artists embody the elements: earth, water, fire, and air; bringing to life ancestral myths and ceremonial practices.
"Ritual" is a fully realized theatrical journey. Narrators and actors weave a poetic narrative of creation, balance, and renewal, inviting the audience to partake in a shared ritual honoring the harmony of existence and our deep connection to the earth. This concert is an invocation, a celebration, and a call to reconnect with the world around us.
