Step into the season of renewal with Rites of Spring, a transformative daylong 5Rhythms embodiment journey. This experiential movement based workshop invites you to shed the layers of winter, awaken your senses, and dance into the vibrant energy of spring.Through the dynamic and meditative practice of 5Rhythms—Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness—you’ll explore the rhythms of your body and soul, connecting to the cycles of nature and your own inner aliveness. Guided by the wisdom of the practice, we’ll move through personal exploration, shared connection, and collective expression.
The day will culminate in a community ritual, honouring the arrival of spring as a time for growth, transformation, and new beginnings. Together, we’ll co-create a sacred space to plant intentions, celebrate renewal, and deepen our sense of community and belonging.
This workshop is open to movers of all levels, from seasoned dancers to those new to the practice. Come as you are—curious, courageous, and ready to embrace the dance of life.
We are offering an inclusive and sacred space where you can come home to yourself, find connection, nourishment and replenish in community.
We have space for 30 dancers. Only payment will guarantee your spot. Payment plans are available if needed.
Bowen Island is just a 20 minute ferry ride away from Horseshoe Bay. We encourage car pooling. Ferry walk-ons can take the local bus (1 stop away) or easily walk (15 minute walk) to the venue.

The workshops counts as 8 hours of WAVES practice on the path to becoming a 5Rhythms® teacher.
Bettina Rothe is passionate about bringing community together to co-create sacred space in which she invites conscious embodiment and heart centred intimacy. As a somatic coach and licensed 5Rhythms® dance teacher, she draws from a variety of healing movement arts, psychology, meditation, and shamanic practices.
Bettina has been on the medicine path for 25 years. She is currently deepening her work through the addition of plant medicines into her offerings and is training as a Psychedelic Assisted Therapist.
She has been teaching workshops internationally since 1998 and lives in Vancouver, BC
