Join artist duo Bestu Friendo in a day long workshop covering the basics of risograph printing. Using hand drawn imagery, Macho and Raul will introduce you to the basics of transferring your image, working in layers, operating The CU’s loaned riso printer, and making varied editions. Whether it be for creating posters or zines, riso printing is a fun and unique way to make any image int a multiple. Basically like xerox printing and screenprinting had a baby!
Built on friendship, fueled by fun, Bestu Friendo Co. is the powerhouse duo of Raul Rodriguez and Christopher Machorro, a Dallas-based collaborative art project where “Create to Have Fun, Nothing is Off the Table” isn’t just a motto, it’s a mission.
From pop culture mashups and anime nods to everyday absurdities, their prints, zines, and tees are a fearless fusion of play and process. Using screen printing, risograph, and more, these two turn pure creative chaos into beautifully bold design.
